Clear old notes out of the way, and bring back one you deleted by mistake.

Before you start

  • Nothing else.

Steps

  1. Archive a note

    Choose Archive to move a note out of the way without deleting it. Find it again under Archive.

  2. Delete a note

    Choose Move to Trash. The note waits in Trash before it is removed for good.

  3. Bring it back

    Open Trash, find the note and choose Restore.

  4. Delete for good

    Only Delete forever removes a note completely, and it asks you first.

What happens next

Your lists stay tidy, and nothing is lost unless you choose Delete forever.

How long does a note stay in Trash?

Deleted notes are held for a retention period before they are removed. Restore them any time before then.
