Release Notes for Aicountly Smart Books Version 1.1

Smart Books Version 1.1 delivers major accounting workflow improvements — fiscal year-wise balances, bill-by-bill tracking, cost centre allocation, and a restructured books engine — along with UI refinements and critical bug fixes.

Major Changes

Books Rewrite & Account Balances

• Implemented the ability to rewrite books with updated account balance logic.
• Introduced a new table for maintaining account balances in a fiscal year-wise manner.
• Database restructuring to support accurate FY-wise balance reporting.

Company & Chart of Accounts

• Updated functionality to accommodate new company codes.
• Linked all company account group parent IDs from the universal database.

Cost Centre on Purchases

• Apply cost centres to Purchase Vouchers for better expense distribution insights.
• Extended cost centre support to Purchase Return (Debit Note) transactions.

Bill-by-Bill on Sale & Purchase

• Sale and Purchase Vouchers now support Bill-by-Bill tracking for granular receivable and payable control.

Minor Changes

Account Balance Validation

• System to check and correct all account balances.
• Batch script introduced for live balance correction rollout.

Journal Voucher Modifications

• Journal vouchers can now be booked with or without line items.

Tabs Behavior Enhancement

• Tabs open and maintain separate pages as intended.
• Auto-refresh on tab addition and closure for accurate active-tab display.
• Auto-selects new tabs and the nearest available tab upon closure.

Bug Fixes

Super Admin Database

• Resolved SQL error affecting the Super Admin Database.

Physical Verification Voucher

• Fixed SQL error when book stock equaled physical stock in Physical Verification Voucher.
