Release Notes for Aicountly Inventory Version 1.7
31 Oct 2026
This release helps you manage batches with more confidence: recalled and expired stock is no longer counted as available, batches can be traced, and you are told about stock nearing expiry before it becomes a loss.
New
- Product recalls: record a recall against one or more batches with the reason, classification and reference. The affected batches are stopped from being sold, and the list of customers who received the goods and the quantities they held is saved as it stood when the recall was raised. You can also view the current position to see what has moved since.
- Batch tracing: see where a batch came from and where it went, including batches that were produced from, repacked into or assembled with other batches.
- Batch details now record the supplier, manufacturer and country of origin.
- Near-expiry alerts: set rules once, for example 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry, and Inventory raises an alert for each batch as it reaches each stage. Each alert can be acknowledged so you have a record of who noticed it and when. Small quantities below the minimum you set are ignored.
- Expiry reminder messages: a daily summary of newly raised expiry alerts can be sent to the people you choose, and recall notices can be sent when a recall is raised.
- Earliest-expiry picking: when First Expiry First Out is switched on in your settings, Inventory suggests which batches to pick, starting with the one that expires soonest. Batches that cannot be sold are never suggested.
- Licence register: record the licences held for each warehouse, such as drug or food licences, with their validity dates. If you mark an item as needing a licence, movements of that item are checked against a current licence for the warehouse. Companies that have not set up any requirements see no change.
Improved
- Stock movements can now be filtered by Pharma as a source.
- Users with the right permission can still post an issue from a held batch when needed, and a warning shows the batch status. Write-offs, purchase returns, batch adjustments and stock transfers from such batches remain allowed so you can dispose of or return the goods.
Fixed
- Stock in recalled, expired, quarantined or closed batches was still shown as available and could be sold. It now shows as held. Your total quantity on hand and your stock value are unchanged, but available stock may now be lower if you have such batches.
- Issuing stock from a recalled, expired, quarantined or closed batch is now refused with a clear message.
