Before you start
On Money to Collect you often filter the list the same way every time, for example to see only overdue bills from one customer. Billing lets you bookmark that filtered view on your device and copy a link that opens the list with the same filters, so you can send it to a colleague.
Set up the view you want
- Open Money to Collect.
- Use the search box and the party, status and age filters above the list. More filters adds amounts, due dates and days late.
- Check the small tags under the filters. Each tag is one filter that is switched on, and you can remove it with its remove button.
Save the view on your device
Select the bookmark button near the top right, next to Export. Its hover text says Save this view on this device. You will see the message "This view will open by default on this device."
The bookmark is saved in your own browser, so it is not shared with other people or other devices. When the current filters match the saved view, the button turns into a ticked bookmark. Select it again (it now reads Forget this saved view) to remove it. You will see "Saved view removed."
If your browser blocks storage, for example in a private window, Billing shows "This browser will not let the app remember a view."
Copy a link to share
- Set your filters as above.
- Select the share button next to the bookmark. Its hover text is Copy a link to this view.
- Wait for the message "Link copied. It opens this list with these filters."
- Paste the link into a message or email.
Anyone who is signed in to Billing and has access to the same company can open the link and see the list with the same filters. If the link cannot be copied, you will see "Could not copy the link. It is in the address bar." In that case, copy the address from your browser's address bar instead.
