Why is income booked by a journal or receipt missing from my Sales Register, and where can I see every income and expense posting in Aicountly Smart Books?

My Profit & Loss shows more income than my Sales Register.

The Sales Register lists Sales vouchers only. Income booked through a journal or a receipt, such as interest or commission, is counted in the Profit & Loss but never appears there.

To see every posting behind the Profit & Loss, open Registers in Smart Books and choose Revenue Register or Expense Register. Each lists every voucher line posted to a Profit & Loss ledger, whatever voucher posted it, and totals to the matching Profit & Loss figure.

  • Switch the view between Ledger-wise, Voucher type-wise and Line-wise.
  • Filter by period, by Nature (direct or indirect), by Ledger or by Voucher type.
  • Use Open Profit & Loss to jump to the statement; the register shows whether it matches or by how much it differs.
  • Export to Excel or PDF, or print.

In the Expense Register, Opening and Closing Stock come from Inventory and are not voucher lines.
